Reroute

We got back from our trip last Monday and it was fun except for the long drive ! We had to take another route due to the unfortunate flooding especially around Missouri and Iowa. I wasn’t very ready days before our trip but I was able to packed more than enough clothing for the 5 of us and we made sure that we had a full tank, and I also made sure that we have the necessary information and documents that we need like our credit cards, Insurance cards,emergency roadside assistance papers in case we needed it and the directions from and to all our destinations. Oh for the first time ever, we didn’t stopped at any drive-thru while on our trip, we decided to bring our own lunch and that saved us a lot of money especially with high gas prices. I enjoy driving but sometimes, I wish I can just skip the travel time and just be in the destination in and out without having to sit for a long long time.

It has been days since I cooked and thankfully tomorrow I might be able to cook my delicious halibut with mango salsa and roasted pepper! I think I will definitely serve it with some seasoned wild rice and sauteed asparagus and pair it with crisp white wine. I have also been craving for some shrimp primavera but I don’t know if I will make my own or just dine in @ the nearest Italian restaurant. I do need to treat myself something since we didn’t go anywhere special on Mother’s day. We don’t usually eat out during the special day because of crazy crowds and long wait so we decided to wait but then our schedule just didn’t allow us to eat somewhere nice so maybe this weekend will definitely the day to make it all up! Oh, it’s Thursday and here’s my entry for this week!!

Thursday 13: Things I want to do before the end of May

Go see a movie with my kids
Go shopping
Finish cleaning the house
Finish all the laundry
completing my research for rc trucks electric
Call a family member or a friend
Invite a friend to dinner
Celebrate my daughter’s recital
Bring unused clothing to the Mission
Bake something hearty
Make a scrumptious breakfast
Register for class
Clean my yard!

I don’t think it’s hard to fulfill right? All I have to do is motivate myself to work harder so I can get all these things done before June starts! Enjoy your Thursday!!

Slothful

Today has been a very slothful day and I haven’t had anything done.I need to do couple of things before this week is over and I’m glad that the week just started so I have plenty of time to do all the chores as well as look for cheap auto insurance that I can compare with my current one. However I need to shovel my driveway before going to sleep so I don’t have to deal with it tomorrow which I am looking forward to come since I have been off for couple of days and I think it’s nice to get back to work and keep my mind busy. I need to stop by at the store and buy some storage plastic boxes so I can take my Christmas tree down! I lost the boxes and I have no idea how it happened! Those boxes are filled with Christmas tree ornaments but as soon as I take them all out I have no idea where it went! I looked everywhere and I couldn’t find it and it’s just weird coz it’s not something that I will throw away but they are not little boxes to be mistaken as trash because it’s pretty huge and I wrote “Christmas stuff” on top. I figured that I may as well buy new boxes so I can take down my tree and I’m sure one day I’ll be able to find the lost plastic boxes… somewhere!

Road Trip

We’re going on a road trip next summer! Yes it is a long time to wait but it is better to have things planned so it will be a smooth get-away once the day comes. I am making sure that my car is taken care of with it’s oil change change and all that auto accessories that makes it smooth and comfortable. I am thinking about visiting my aunt in Ohio and might have to stop by at my cousin’s crib in Minnesota also. One thing good about road-trip is that sometimes you will make a turn that will add more adventure and memorable. I just can’t wait!
